I think it may be a little more than you want, but a very good place is the Botel Albatros. It is on the river in the center of the city, so you will save a lot on transport !
It’s about 5 minutes walk from tram stop (nos. 5,8,14) and 10 minutes from Republiky metro station. 5-10 minutes to restaurants and bars and 20 minutes walk to Charles Bridge or Wenceslas Square.
It may cost more but remember you are in the very central area.
There are many others within your budget easy, but they may not be close to the center. You may find a nice B&B from Venere, you can see lots of the reviews, but you should find within your range

Other option could be Seifert which is in the same part of the city.
The advantage of both of them is you can get there by tram and the tram run through whole the night (metro stops at midnight), so you always get back without having to take expensive taxi.
