Its all depends on how long and the type of accommodation you are looking for. If you want to stay on the dutch side, there are guest houses, motels, hotels, villas etc etc.
Dutch side:,

One places that is affortable and convience it is right on Marigot close to Marina is Fantastic Guesthouse. that you can walk to pier, stores, bars, bakery, drugstores etc.
at the pier there many places to eat seafood very affortable.
Another place to stay is La California at Grand case it has beach, internet, kitchenette and others things.
Carls Inn in Cole Bay (this one is not that old less than 10 yrs constrution)
Also by Joshua at Philisburg right in town (dutch side)
bars, restaurants, pier, beach, Casino and St Rose Arcade.
St Rose Arcade is the place to hang out
Also Green house.
