What are some good, CHEAP hotels near the Wilmington NC area?

Some friends and I want to go to the beach for memorial day weekend but we are having trouble finding a hotel that is within our price range. Somewhere near Wilmington would be preferrable, since that is the closest for us, but other than that location isn’t important. Does anyone know of any beaches somewhat near that area that may be cheaper to stay at than Wilmington itself, or know of any hotels around there that have good weekend rates?

Good luck memoraial day weekend is going to be busy as heck and the hotels are going to be packed PLUS they raise there prices during the weekend of memorial day. If I were you I would search hotels like asap in the Wilmington port area call just about all of them and find out prices then call back to the cheapest one and make your reservation now before it gets too expensive or before the hotels get sold out.

It provides search option like near a landmark etc
Also it provide searches from more than one source.
But beware … cheap hotels can be trouble some times so check reviews of the hotel your are going to book.
Check the exact location of hotel from google maps.

there are some great hotels in the area. i would check out the Ramada Inn Conference Center which is $100 for friday and saturday and $90 for sunday on memorial day weekend. you can also check out the Towneplace Suites By Marriott Wilmington is $139/night for memorial day weekend. and for a great deal check out. the site is an aggregator which means it searchs other sites and presents you with the best deals available. hope this helps!
